Term Definition
Die A device which is used for cutting or embossing.
Die cutting Method used to cut irregular shapes in paper or board using a specially made die.
Digital printing Printing directly from a digital file. Digital printing uses toner based systems rather than traditional ink based methods. Digital print is more cost effective for short run print.
DL size Paper size of 210 x 99mm or envelope size of 220 x 110mm. See our size guides for details
DPI Dots per inch. Measure of resolution of devices such as laser printers and scanners.
Duotone A photograph reproduced using two halftone negatives. Each halftone highlights different tones in the original photograph
