| Thermography |
Method of producing a raised image which takes on the colour of the ink. This is achieved using colourless powder which sticks to the wet ink. Heat is then applied which causes the powder to melt and rise from the surface. |

Using a screen or adding white ink in order to lighten the ink colour. |

Positive photographic film image which allows light to pass through. |
| Trapping |
A slight overlapping between two touching colours that prevents gaps from appearing along the edges of an object because of misalignment or movement on the printing press. |
