Term Definition
Ream Term for 500 sheets of paper.
Recycled paper New paper which has been made from used paper.
Register To position the printed image to line up with other colour's on the sheet and to align correctly with the edges of the paper. Also called registration.
Registration marks Cross hair marks on film and plates which help with the correct alignment of multiple colour's. Most often used in four colour process printing.
Resolution Refers to the sharpness of an image on paper, film, computer screen ect.
RGB Abbreviation for red, green and blue
RIP Raster Image Processor. The program in a laser or hi resolution printer which converts the digital data stream into the pattern of dots to make the printed image on the sheet.
