| Term | Definition |
| GIF | Graphic Interface Format. Computer file format usually used with graphics. |
| GSM | Measurement of paper weight. Grams per square meter. |
| Greyscale | Strip of grey values from white to black. Used to calculate film or plate exposure times. |
| Gripper edge | The leading edge of the sheet which is held by grippers as it passed through the press. Also called the grip. |
| Gutter | Can refer to the space between two sets of corner marks. Also refers to the inner margins in a book. |
