Term Definition
M Magenta. One of the four process colour's.
Make ready Activities required to prepare a press or machine to run specific printing or finishing job. Also called set up.
Margin Space around the edge of a printed sheet.
Matte finish Finish on paper or board
Metallic ink Special ink which contains powdered metal or pigments to simulate metal such as gold or silver.
Moire The pattern resulting when halftones and tints are made with incorrectly aligned screens. Also called cross hatch.
Mono The use of one printing ink, usually black.
Mulicolour printing Printing in more than one ink color but no using CMYK or full colour
